Founded in Nashville in 1904 as the One Cent Savings Bank, the institution later became Citizens Savings Bank and Trust Company. It expanded savings, credit and business-capital access and became Tennessee's first minority-owned bank and the nation's oldest continuously operating minority-owned and operated bank.
